The Artwork

Collective Intelligence

Welcome to the Collective Intelligence community.

The artwork featured in our Members’ section was generously created and contributed by Collective Intelligence member, Peter Butler. It features aspects of both his Māori and his Welsh whakapapa. In the creation of this work, Peter’s intention was to ensure that the end result was te ao Māori-inspired, without leaning too much on traditional Māori graphic elements.

Instead, the work has been conceptualised to be modern and contemporary, with some key thematic elements utilised. Its circular shape signifies the experience of working within a Collective Intelligence team. One of its primary components is a koru, which symbolises new life and growth. It also features four more pronounced circle elements representing the four winds, tides and corners of Aotearoa and the world. This piece has guided the Collective Intelligence rebrand process and forms an integral part of how we visualise the future of our ecosystem.
